Q: What does “Remember me” mean?
A: If you check the “Remember me” box, you won’t have to sign in every time you visit the site. We will automatically recognize you. Like many companies, we remember you by using a “cookie,” which is a small computer file that contains an ID tag. This cookie doesn’t gather any personal information about you or extract any information from your computer. It simply tells us whether you are a member or a new visitor.
When not to check the “Remember me” box: The “Remember me” feature saves time, because it allows members to bypass the sign-in process. But you may not want to check the box if
- You are visiting Operation In Touch from a shared computer in a public place (library, school, Internet café)
- You visit Operation In Touch from multiple computers and browsers (home and work, for example)
- You visit Operation In Touch from a computer that you share with others who have their own makinglifebetter.com member names and passwords.

A: When you are signed in, you’ll see a welcome message and a link to "Special Offers" at the top of the page. When you’re not signed in, you’ll see a Sign In link at the top right corner of the page.
Q: How do I sign out?
A: Click the Log out link at the top of the page. If you don’t see it or the site’s welcome message, you are not signed in.
