What Would You Do #4AKlondike?
For decades, we’ve been asking you what you would do for a Klondike bar, and trust us, you’ve gone beyond all expectations. From jumping through hoops to choreographing spectacular dance routines, you’ve proven you’re always up for a little fun when a Klondike bar is on the line.
Now, it’s time to kick back, relax, and enjoy your well-earned sweet treat. But here’s a new question: what could you do with a Klondike bar? Of course, you can savor it in all its square, chocolatey perfection. But if you’re feeling adventurous, we’ve got some next-level frozen dessert ideas to try.
5 Recipes to Take Your Klondike Bars to the Next Level
1. Retro Milkshake
Craving the nostalgic deliciousness of a diner milkshake? Say no more. Blend two Klondike bars (Reese’s bars work wonders here) with half a cup of milk and a scoop of vanilla ice cream until smooth. Pour the mix into a tall glass, top with whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder. For extra retro flair, serve with a striped straw and enjoy!
2. Ice Cream Cake
We love cake, and we love Klondike bars — so why not bring them together? For this easy, no-bake ice cream cake, start by lining a rectangular baking dish with parchment paper. Arrange three Klondike bars inside. Spread a layer of whipped topping over them and drizzle with caramel sauce. Then, add another layer of three Klondike bars, topped with more whipped topping and caramel.
Cover with foil and freeze for 1-2 hours. Once frozen, gently flip the cake over and slice, or serve directly from the dish.

3. Ice Cream Bar Tacos
Who said tacos are just for Tuesdays and only savory? Not us. Grab some small tortillas, brush them with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake at 350°F until crispy and golden. Chop a few Klondike Double Chocolate Bars into chunks and use them to fill the taco shells. Top with fresh fruits and chocolate sauce. And voilà, you’ve got a dessert taco for any day of the week!
4. Ice Cream Fondue
If ‘fondue’ makes you think of cheese, let us change your mind. Introducing the ice cream fondue, aka the ultimate dessert experience.
Start by adding a few scoops of your favorite ice cream to a bowl. We recommend classic Breyers Homemade Vanilla for this. Chop your favorite Klondike bars into bite-sized pieces and set them on a chopping board. Add a selection of cookies, marshmallows, candy, pretzels, and a sweet sauce (whether that’s caramel, chocolate or strawberry). Dip the treats into the melting ice cream and sauces to enjoy the ultimate sweetness overload.

5. Ice Cream Pops
Next stop: Flavor Central. Take your Klondike bar to the next level with a homemade ice cream pop. Insert a popsicle stick into your bar, then dip it in melted chocolate. Roll it in your favorite toppings, like crushed nuts, sprinkles, or cinnamon sugar. Freeze for an hour and you’ve got a custom dessert bar that’s as unique as you are.
And when you’ve finished your dessert masterpiece, feel free to have some fun with the silver wrappers (whether you decide to play foil football or turn them into a source of endless entertainment for your cat, the possibilities are endless).
