Fall Science Projects to do with your Family
Fall is such an awesome time and such a great teaching opportunity for those with children! Besides the excitement surrounding Halloween, get them excited about science with a few experiments you can do at home – with items you likely already have!
Use your Jack-o-lantern to teach about decomposition or make an oozing pumpkin! Before you decorate, investigate! Let the kids hypothesize about whether a pumpkin will sink or float. Measure your pumpkin. How tall is it, how wide, what is the circumference. Estimate how many seeds it has!
