Make-Ahead Ice Cream French Toast

Prep Time: 30 minutes     Cook Time: 480 minutes     Total Time: 510 minutes     Total Yield: 4 servings


  • Half a baguette
  • 1 pint Ben & Jerry’s Vanilla ice cream, melted (Link opens in new window.)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp maple syrup (plus more for serving)


  1. Grease 8” x 8” baking dish with butter or cooking
  2. Slice baguette and layer the slices in the greased baking dish.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted ice cream, milk, cinnamon, eggs, and maple syrup.
  4. Pour liquid mix over sliced baguette. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  5. In the morning, bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Slice, drizzle with more maple syrup, and enjoy!
